What is TLLP?

What is the Teacher Leadership and Learning Program (TLLP)?

The TLLP is a project-based, self-directed professional learning opportunity for teacher-led groups consisting of experienced teachers and other educational workers. This unique, joint initiative of the Ontario Ministry of Education and the Ontario Teachers' Federation is world-renowned as an example of what can happen if we move away from a "one-size-fits-all" approach to professional development .

The objectives of the TLLP are to:

  1. Support teachers in pursuing innovative, self-chosen professional learning activities;
  2. Foster teacher leadership; and
  3. Facilitate the sharing of exemplary practice to benefit Ontario's students.

We could write more about the TLLP, but Dr. Ann Lieberman does such a great job explaining the program in the video below that we'll leave that job to her.
